We had an amazing weekend away at Countrywide Cottages. We made a last minute booking and we are so glad that we did! Our dog Arnie (greyhound) absolutely loved it. Upon arrival at the cottage we were delighted to see home made dog treats, biscuits for us and bird seed to feed the friendly native birds. The cottage was amazingly clean and everything we needed was provided. The cottage (Igloo) had a huge yard, perfect for dogs to explore. The dam was a great place for our dog to have a run and a swim. We also enjoyed catching yabbies! (14!). Overall we had an amazing stay, Di was very welcoming and we are so excited to come back again :)
We arrived at Countrywide Cottages on a sunny late afternoon a few days ago. The host Di was fantastic and when we were given the key to our cabin, we drove through an amazing forest to get to our cabin. It was quiet and relaxing there and we were greeted by two blue wrens just outside our front door. We had two glorious days there. The cabin had everything you would need and even some treats left by Di and bird seeds. The cabin was so clean and the bed linen extremely crisp and clean. Next morning we placed the bird seeds in the birds tray and before we knew it, we had King Parrots, Rosella's and even native doves, it was wonderful.We went for walks, enjoyed the serenity and even lit a fire in the cool evening. We shall be back for more - Thank you Di and Stuart for making
What a great place to spend our holiday. We booked very late but Di accommodated us at short notice. The cottage we stayed in was immaculate with comfortable beds, nice fireplace, and everything needed to keep the kids and adults entertained. Highly recommended!
Countrywide was the best place we've stayed with our doggies. It's not just pet friendly, it's pet passionate. From the design of the cottages, the fencing, the space, the connection to the environment right down to the tiny details of homemade treats, bowls and a mat to lie down on, Di and Stuart have thought of everything!We have never so relaxed having our two eacape artists on holiday with us. And they couldn't get enough swimming in the dam. Thank you! we will be back
We stayed at ferny reach cottage which was surrounded by beautiful ferns and magnificent trees. Di has thought of everything in this cottage to make your stay memorable and comfortable including seeds for the parrots which come in for feeding, dog treats and yummy human treats. Our Labrador Cola had a wonderful time on the trail walks around the property and in the closed in Ned retreat area where he could just run and sniff! Would highly recommend for anyone with or without dogs as it is just a peaceful setting and not far from the great ocean road.
